Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 June 2026

The short version

ACES is a free public website. We do not require you to log in. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, school, or any other personal identifier. We use Google AdSense (advertising) and Google Analytics (anonymised usage statistics) to fund and improve the site.

What we collect

  • In-page interaction events — clicks, simulation steps, practice attempts — are kept only in your browser’s sessionStorage while you are on the site, and are cleared when you close the tab. We use this to power the in-page tutor and to improve learning content. None of it is sent to our servers.
  • Aggregate usage data via Google Analytics 4 — page views, route patterns, device class, broad geography. This data is anonymised and IP-truncated; Google’s privacy policy applies.
  • Advertising data via Google AdSense — Google may set cookies to show non-personalised or personalised ads, depending on your region and consent. EU/UK/India users can withdraw consent at any time using your browser’s cookie controls.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell or share student data with third parties.
  • We do not build profiles of individual students.
  • We do not contact parents, schools, or tutors without explicit permission.
  • We do not use student responses to train AI models without explicit, opt-in consent (none today).

Children’s privacy

ACES is designed for students aged approximately 16–18 (Class 11 and Class 12). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has somehow provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

  • Block cookies in your browser to disable Analytics and AdSense personalisation.
  • Clear sessionStorage from your browser’s developer tools to wipe in-page state.
  • Use a browser that blocks third-party trackers (Brave, Firefox with strict mode) — ACES will still work fully.

Updates

If we change this policy materially, the updated date above will change and we will surface a banner on the home page. Substantive changes will be highlighted.
