Kerala HSE Class 12 Economics

In Kerala HSE, Plus Two Economics is introductory macroeconomics. ‘National Income & Macroeconomic Aggregates’ introduces macroeconomics, covering how much a country produces, employment and why prices rise, and then the measurement of national income through GDP, GNP, NDP and NNP, using three calculation methods. ‘Money, Banking & Income Determination’ explains how money and banks work, with the part played by the RBI, and then how income and employment are determined through the balance between spending and production. ‘Public Economics & Open Economy’ takes the government budget and the balance of payments, which is approached through its two accounts.

Its 6 chapters are spread over 3 units, 2 in each. The concept section of each chapter page pairs a myth-check with 6 or 7 concept cards, and a written explanation follows, with an Indian example and the misconceptions to watch for. A worked example comes before 5 practice questions, which combine multiple-choice items with typed answers, and the quiz repeats those questions. On this page a tick appears beside each chapter marked complete, and once one is marked, a count of chapters done appears at the top. Progress is kept in the browser.

One way to proceed through the 6 chapters is the SCERT Kerala textbook first, then the concept cards and notes here as a second reading, then the quiz, checking any answer given wrongly against the textbook. Questions about emphasis, and any difference between the class sequence and the chapter order listed here, are for the teacher. Because this site is not affiliated with SCERT or the Government of Kerala, it supplements the textbook and the classroom and replaces neither.
